Attended RMIT University in Melbourne.

Parents are Chris, a cattle farmer, and Jennie, a nurse. He has two older brothers and joked on Jimmy Kimmel that "they had a sister, but they killed her." (of course that is a joke as he has no sister...funny still).

Resides in Los Angeles.

Studied acting under Ivana Chubbock, who had been crucial in building careers for Brad Pitt and Halle Berry.
